my bikes
I'm having a little trouble navigating this site, but I'll try to post these pics..if they show, then I'll talk. O.K. Very retired and very bored 'til I found out about these kits. This one I bought the engine kit ( GT 2B 48cc ) and didn't know if it was worth the money, so I threw it on this old Huffy ($40.00 on craigslist) and was amazed at the performance and reliability....sold it (everyone asked me ) and now I'm waiting on delivery of a BGF 66cc to do it again ! The're as much fun to build as they are to ride ....LOVE 'EM. (wish I'd have saved the brakes tho ) having trouble finding caliper brakes for my new DelMar. Don't like the feel of the coaster brake.

Latest Project....completed Jan.,2012
The Briggs 5.5hp is off my rototiller. Made a stainless intake manifold & mounted a Mikuni 22mm carb. Frame is electrical conduit I welded together incorporating an old Yamaha 100cc fork & steering head and swing arm. The lower frame member is also a glass packed muffler. Schwinn OCC wheels, disk brakes are from a pocket bike & various parts from 2 different bicycles.
With 6:1 overall ratio, 44mph is top speed. I will add electric start soon as "pull-cord" starting is a hassle without compression release. Overall, Im pleased with this one. It's a real hoot to ride!

The solid motor mounts
The original clamp mounts allowed too much engine movement. I fabricated some solid motor mounts to cure this. It's much better!

The chain tensioner
The original tensioner that comes in the kit is junk. So I decided to fabricate my own.
